Our Story

Team Northants Handball Academy was founded on 6 August 2025 with a clear vision: to create a positive, ambitious and inclusive handball community across Northamptonshire.

As part of our journey, Northampton Handball Club merged with Team Northants to bring our clubs together, strengthen our foundations and create a stronger handball community. By combining our efforts, experience and ambitions, we aim to provide more opportunities for players to develop, compete and enjoy handball across the county.

We are committed to developing players at every stage of their handball journey, from grassroots participation through to high-performance competition. Our development pathway supports players through Mini Handball, U14, U16 and U19, before progressing into our Adult Performance Programme.

At Team Northants, we believe in developing more than just handball skills. We aim to build confidence, teamwork, discipline and a strong sense of belonging, giving every player the opportunity to enjoy the sport, challenge themselves and reach their full potential.

Our ambition is to build a sustainable and successful handball community where everyone has the opportunity to progress, compete and belong. By working together, we want to raise the profile of handball across Northamptonshire, inspire the next generation of players and create a pathway from grassroots participation to performance-level handball.
